SRII Global Leadership Summit

Kris-smallDear SRII Colleagues,

On behalf of the SRII Executive Management team, I would like to thank you for attending the inaugural SRII Global Summit on Jan 25--27 at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon bay, CA.

Congratulations for the great work being done by all the SIGs and Chapters and your strong participation on various panels and group meetings during the summit. We had about 100 participants from 18 different countries and 4 continents
. During this summit we achieved a great deal in terms of getting better understanding and alignment on SRII vision, strategy, road map and key deliverables.

Based on all our discussions, let me summarize our key next steps:

* We have made the decision to hold Annual SRII Global Conference with close participation from our major partners like IEEE, ACM, NESSI, CSIRO, NCIIA,Fraunhofer, INFORMS, RESER, THESEUS...etc .

Our goal is to make the SRII annual conference as the global forum to share all the great work being done in the areas of Service Research and Innovation around the world. In the coming weeks we will establish SRII Conference Planning team and share further details about this conference in terms of venue, date, sessions, tracks..etc

* A major priority for SRII leaders around the world will be to continue to build more SRII SIGs, Chapters and to grow the global SRII membership.

* Each SIG/Chapter is to provide a monthly status update with specific road map and deliverables. Kris to schedule monthly conf call with each SIG/Chapter

* As a follow up on the panel sessions, "University Programs" and "Service Innovation" will become SRII Global SIGs led by Paul Hofmann and George Miller respectively. Paul and George will be holding SIG monthly meetings to develop the road map and deliverables for their respective SIGs

* Kevin Ellis, as the executive head of SRII Information Systems, is to ensure that Global SRII website has all the links for the various SIGs, Chapters, Institutes/ Organizations from around the world. We want to ensure that the SRII regional chapters website have similar architecture/ look and feel. Please contact Kevin for any additional guidance.

* All the presentations from the Global Summit (SIGs/Chapters/ Panels Sessions/ Keynotes) have been uploaded to the SRII website. In the coming weeks more contents will be available on the SRII web. Only SRII members will have access to all the SRII documents.

* We would like to encourage everyone to formally join SRII at the appropriate level--- Individual, Institute/Organizations, Corporate. For any questions related to membership, please contact Kevin Ellis.

Please remember that our SRII work has just begun and we have lots of exciting opportunities ahead. We are looking forward to your leadership by getting involved in various SIGs/Chapters and driving key initiatives.

Once again many thanks for your leadership!.

Best Regards,
Kris
