Service Innovation/Engineering/Quality [SIEQ]
The overall mission of the Service Innovation, Engineering and Quality (SIEQ) Special Interest Group (SIG) is to support the lifecycle management for IT-enabled services including business-to-business and business-to-consumer services. The SIEQ SIG focuses on concepts for creating new or improving established services by cutting-edge business models, processes and IT systems (Innovation), the way that IT services could be designed and implemented (Engineering) and the monitoring and management of services in order to meet or outreach user expectations (Quality).
The main objective of the SIEQ SIG is to build an active community of researchers and practitioners interested in understanding how organisations are innovating as part of their everyday business activities, how they are engineering quality services and how they are monitoring and managing the continuous improvement of services to meet expectations. To achieve this objective, the SIEQ SIG will facilitate the interaction between researchers and practitioners through SRII conferences, workshops and related events in order to identify grand challenges to be addressed, will investigate best practices in different sectors and develop appropriate exemplar case studies and white papers, will encourage and support the development of appropriate methodologies, tools and standards and will disseminate its work to national and international funding bodies.
